About the company/role:

Our client is a fresh produce manufacturer supplying salads and ready-to-eat meal to major retailers across Australia. They are seeking a QC Officer to join their team at their site in Western Sydney. It is a requirement to be flexible to work across day or afternoon shift. This is a full-time, casual role with opportunities for progression.

Duties:

- Conduct routine quality control inspections of fresh produce products to ensure compliance with food safety and product quality standards.
- Perform in-process and finished product checks, including weight verification, temperature monitoring, seal integrity assessments, and sensory evaluations.
- Collect samples for microbiological and shelf-life testing, ensuring products met customer specifications and regulatory requirements.




- Complete quality documentation and production records and investigated non-conformances.
- Work closely with production teams to monitor GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance.

Skills/experience:

- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment is essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science is not essential but is highly regarded
- Robust communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
