Cole Design and Construction Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team in the East side of Melbourne. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication between all stakeholders. This position is integral to our success, as you will directly impact project outcomes and contribute to our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

- Overseeing all daily site operations and coordinating activities to ensure projects progress according to schedule
- Managing site personnel, including contractors, trades, and labourers, whilst maintaining a productive and safe work environment
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and company policies
- Conducting regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets contractual specifications and industry standards
- Managing project budgets, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines
- Maintaining comprehensive site documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, and safety records
- Identifying and resolving site-based issues and challenges in a timely manner
- Ordering and managing materials and equipment supplies to support project requirements
- Reporting on project progress to senior management and attending relevant meetings

What we're looking for

- Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory construction role
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building practices, and project management principles
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations,



including the ability to implement and monitor compliance across the site
- Proven experience managing budgets and controlling project costs effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
- Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Current driver's licence and ability to work on-site in all weather conditions
- Relevant qualifications such as a Construction Management diploma, Advanced Diploma in Project Management, or equivalent experience
- Preferred experience in residential construction projects of varying scales
