- $61.85 per hourAbout UsThe Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Robina Hospital ICU are both part of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) and operate as an integrated ICU platform. The Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) ICU Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 25-bed ICU equivalent ICU/High Dependency Unit (HDU)



averaging 90% occupancy and admitting over 2200 patients per year, managing varied case mix of patients and conditions. These include major trauma, neurosurgery, neuro intervention and neuro trauma, Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, major head and neck, maxillo-facial and ear, nose, throat (ENT) surgery, and other medical and surgical emergencies and elective admissions.
The Robina Hospital Intensive Care Unit offers a 10 bed (5 ventilator equivalent) service that currently offers specialised care for general medical, general surgical, respiratory and renal patients. This unit is a designated Level 2 ICU under Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) definition and Level 5 ICU under CICM definitions.
