About the position:

In this role, you will contribute across asset planning, capital works delivery and engineering support functions, with a strong focus on roads and transport assets. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors to support the effective management of Council's sealed and unsealed roads, footpaths, drainage and associated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Planning & Management

- Coordinate and facilitate asset condition assessments across Council's transport network, including roads, kerb and channel, drainage, footpaths and cycle paths
- Analyse asset condition data and provide technical advice and reporting to support renewal prioritisation and forward works planning
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of asset management processes, systems and data quality across the organisation

Project Planning & Contract Support

- Assist in the planning and delivery of capital works projects, including concept development, scoping, estimates and project planning
- Support design coordination, including undertaking designs and/or supervising consultants
- Prepare specifications, tender documentation and assist with tender evaluations
- Assist with contract administration, including site inspections, progress claims, reporting and contractor performance assessment
- Monitor works to ensure compliance with specifications, service standards and engineering best practice
