Underground Surveyor - 12 month term contract - maternity relief position
We are seeking an Underground Surveyor to join our team at Tomingley Gold Operations. This role is ideal for an experienced Mine Surveyor, eager to contribute to a growing operation with a strong safety culture.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor you will work a7/7 dayshift only roster.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Pickups of development and pickups of stopes (using drone or wireless CMS)
- Stockpile pickups for reporting
- Prism monitoring
- Provide the underground team with accurate information to prepare the weekly and monthly plans
- Actively participate with the underground mining team to develop daily and weekly production plans and ensure that these plans are implemented and completed
About You:
- Diploma in Surveying or Extensive Survey experience
- Experience in Underground surveying desirable but not essential
- Previous experience with Deswik (mine planning software) highly regarded but not essential

About Us:
Tomingley Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated near the village of Tomingley,
50 km south of Dubbo in Central New South Wales. We have recently celebrated over 10 years of operation. Our current operation runs an underground mine, and a 1.2Mtpa processing plant that is responsible for producing gold bullion on-site. The mine's workforce consists of over 260 permanent employees who hold various roles in qualified, technical, mining, processing and trades.
One significant development for the Tomingley Operation, is the approval for the expansion of both open-cut and underground mines, 3 km to the south of the existing Tomingley deposits. This development approval and expansion takes the mine life beyond 2031.
