HDE Group is seeking a Service State Manager to lead our Queensland Electrical Service business.

Based in Brisbane and reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you will have full profit and loss responsibility and a clear mandate: develop our people, strengthen service delivery and grow the business.

Your opportunity

This role brings together operational leadership, commercial responsibility and client relationships. You will influence how the division operates, from the capability of its leaders to the quality of its service and the opportunities it pursues.

Our team supports premium and A-grade commercial properties, office environments and Tier 1 clients through planned maintenance, reactive service, upgrades, shutdowns and specialist electrical works.

Success will mean a team that takes ownership, clients who trust us to deliver and a business performing against a clear plan.

What you will lead

- Business performance: Own the P&L;, budget and forecast, with a clear understanding of revenue, margins, labour recovery and cash flow.
- People and capability: Develop Service Managers, Service Coordinators and field leaders through clear expectations, coaching and accountability.
- Service delivery: Keep maintenance, reactive works and minor projects moving through effective planning, resourcing and job completion.
- Client relationships: Lead key accounts, service reviews, contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
- Growth: Expand maintenance agreements, develop opportunities within client portfolios and oversee commercially sound quotations.
- Safety and quality: Stay connected to the field and set clear standards for safe,



compliant and professional work.

You will work closely with Finance and the wider management team to turn plans into measurable results.

What you will bring

You are an experienced electrical service leader who can earn the confidence of technicians, build trust with clients and make sound commercial decisions.

You know how to delegate, develop capable leaders and follow through when performance needs attention.

You will have:

- An electrical trade qualification and current electrical work licence
- Experience leading a commercial electrical service operation, business unit or multiple service teams
- Demonstrated ownership of budgets, forecasts and P&L; performance
- A practical understanding of productivity, labour recovery, work in progress and cash flow
- Experience developing teams and managing performance
- Strong client relationship, contract management and negotiation skills
- Experience with generator load testing and capital expenditure quoting
- Experience with AroFlo, facilities management clients, Tier 1 commercial properties and ISO management systems will be highly regarded. Management qualifications and QTP or QBP credentials would also be advantageous.
