Western Landscape Supplies is an established, privately owned landscape supply business servicing commercial, trade and retail customers across South East Queensland.

About the role:

Reporting directly to the directors, you will lead the daily operations of the business across the yard, transport, customer service, administration and production activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

Taking ownership of daily operations, staffing and service delivery.

Leading supervisors and staff, with clear expectations and accountability.

Coordinating purchasing, stock availability, production and deliveries.

Managing business performance, including margins, labour costs, freight costs and operating expenses.

Maintaining reliable processes for quoting, order accuracy, stock control and customer follow-up.

Ensuring equipment and fleet maintenance are planned and managed.

Maintaining a strong safety culture and consistent operating standards.

Resolving staff, supplier and customer issues promptly and professionally.

Working closely with the owner to ensure operations support sales commitments and business growth.

What We’re Looking For

ABOUT YOU

You have successfully managed a business, branch or substantial operation and understand how to balance customer service, staff performance and profitability.

You will bring:

Proven management experience in landscape supplies, building materials, transport, manufacturing, civil construction or a similar operational business.

Strong commercial judgement and confidence working with budgets, margins and financial reports.

The ability to lead an established team, have direct conversations and hold people accountable.

Practical experience managing competing priorities in a busy environment.

A willingness to learn the products, equipment and processes.

Robust organisation, communication and follow-through.

The confidence to make decisions within your authority and keep the directors informed.

Experience with bulk materials, fleet operations, stock management or blending and production would be highly regarded.
