Join our Revenue Hub as a Billing Pod Lead, where you’ll lead a small team, help shape best-practice billing processes and play an important role in managing the patient revenue cycle across our hospital network.

Working closely with health funds and stakeholders across the business, you’ll help drive timely billing, debt recovery and strong revenue outcomes, while supporting and developing your team to deliver at their best.

Your part in our Revenue Hub team

Reporting to the Patient Accounts and Billing Hub Manager, you’ll lead a small billing team dedicated to a health fund group and take ownership of ensuring billing activities are effectively prioritised, managed and delivered against key KPIs.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, this is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll provide guidance on complex billing matters, build strong relationships with health funds and internal stakeholders, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the way we work.

In this role, you will:

- Lead, coach and support a small team of billing staff dedicated to a health fund group, supporting a secure and positive working workplace.
- Oversee billing and collections activities, establishing best-practice processes and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor team performance and KPIs, using reporting and insights to identify priorities and improve outcomes.




- Act as an escalation point for complex billing queries and provide guidance to support effective resolution.
- Build productive relationships with health funds to support timely billing and rapid recovery of outstanding debt.
- Review and interpret health fund contracts, keeping the team informed and educated on relevant changes.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Clinical Coding, Health Information Systems, Hospital Registration teams, Patient Administration Team Leaders and VMPs.
- Identify training and development needs, provide meaningful performance feedback and support continuous improvement across the team.
- Undertake Billing Officer duties as required.

- Knowledge of health fund arrangements.
- Demonstrated team leadership experience.
- Ability to read and interpret commercial contracts.
- A comprehensive understanding of medical terminology.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent, and/or applicable experience in a role demonstrating the relevant skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service skills at a high level.
- Knowledge of billing processes and software.




- Demonstrated experience using medical terminology at an intermediate level.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to have complex financial conversations with patients in a sensitive manner.
- A willingness to learn, develop and grow.
- Ability to coach and provide guidance to team members.
