Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Head of Operations will be responsible for the day-to‑day operational performance of Auscare Group and its service divisions. The initial priority will be to undertake a comprehensive review of operations, stabilise service delivery and lead a structured program of operational remediation, compliance strengthening and organisational improvement. You will be expected to quickly identify what is working, what requires immediate attention and what needs to change — and then take ownership of delivering those changes.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations of Auscare Group across its service divisions
- Undertake an initial operational review and establish clear priorities for stabilisation, remediation and improvement
- Identify and resolve legacy operational, administrative and service‑delivery issues
- Establish strong operational controls, systems, processes and reporting disciplines
- Provide explicit, accurate and timely reporting on operational performance, risks, compliance, workforce and financial performance
- Strengthen accountability across management and operational teams
- Ensure regulatory, contractual, accreditation and service requirements are understood and consistently met in practice
- Work closely with quality and compliance functions to ensure identified issues are addressed operationally and corrective actions are implemented
- Review organisational structures, workflows, systems and resources to improve efficiency, accountability and performance
- Work closely with finance to strengthen budgeting, cost control, revenue integrity, resource utilisation and operational profitability

About you

- Demonstrated experience as a COO, General Manager, Executive Director,



Head of Operations or equivalent senior operational leader within a complex and regulated service organisation
- Comfortable entering an organisation undergoing significant change, quickly establishing visibility over its operations, identifying priorities and implementing practical solutions
- Prepared to be hands‑on, equally comfortable examining operational detail, challenging an ineffective process, resolving an immediate problem, holding a manager accountable and presenting a concise operational performance report to executive leadership
- Significant experience within health, community, care, education, training and/or workforce services
- Experience managing multiple service streams, entities or regulatory frameworks simultaneously
- Substantial senior operational leadership experience with a proven record of stabilising, restructuring, remediating or improving complex operations
- Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance within regulated environments
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen with the ability to interrogate operational and financial data and translate it into action
- Strong workforce management experience and experience establishing operational reporting, KPIs and management accountability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound judgement and confidence to make difficult operational decisions
