RAINBOW BEACH SPORTS CLUB – Duty Manager

The Rainbow Beach Sports Club is a Community Club and is centrally located in Rainbow Beach, in beautiful Queensland.

Rainbow Beach is a coastal town and long sand beach on Queensland's Cooloola Coast in the Gympie Region, known for its towering coastal cliffs, coloured sands, and is the gateway to K’gari. (Fraser Island)

The Rainbow Beach Sports Club offers amazing sporting facilities, such as lawn bowls, tennis courts and gymnasium.

The Club is able to seat 150 plus in our restaurant, as well as 200 seat function room, has 50 modern gaming machines, 60 seats in Sports Bar area and facilities to host wedding, conference and private parties.

The Sports Club also hosts the Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic, the This Is Livin’ Fest music festival, the Levi Hannah Fishing Classic, the Kid’s Adventure Passport, Melbourne Cup luncheon, Christmas Day Banquet and many more events throughout the year There’s always something for the whole family to enjoy here at the Rainbow Beach Sports Club.

The Duty Manager will, in liaison with the General Manager, oversee the operations of the Club.

- Thorough knowledge of RSA, RSG and AML/CTF compliance
- Leadership and influencing others
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Ability to manage conflict situations

The Role

Duty Managers will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for the operations of the venue, management of staff, and ensuring the highest quality of customers service is maintained for our members and guests.

We are looking for dynamic,



committed and enthusiastic person aspiring to meet the various challenges within the Club on a daily basis, and to oversee the general operations of gaming, bar and food service as well as maintain administrative responsibilities.

Key selection Criteria

- Minimum 2 years proven successful staff supervision experience
- Staff rosters – experience with Time in Attendance programs would be an advantage, currently using TANDA
- Experience in training and motivation of staff
- Excellent communication skills - Able to write basic reports on critical events
- Self motivated with the ability to lead and motivate the ‘Team’
- Qualified pride and organisational skills
- Administration and technology skills including Microsoft Office - word processing spreadsheets, and outlook
- Previous experience with stock control programs
- Experience with Gaming – clearances, strongroom
- Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment;

Hours of Work

Weekly roster - Full time position - Shifts range from morning starts to late finishing times.

Must be available days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
