Plate It Forward Catering is looking for an organised, reliable Catering Logistics Coordinator to support catering operations through stock management, purchasing and delivery coordination. Working with the Head Chef, Community Driver and Catering Sales Assistant, you'll help make sure the right stock and equipment are ready when needed, orders are accurate, and deliveries run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor packaging and dry stock levels and maintain appropriate PAR levels
- Place orders, coordinate with suppliers and follow purchasing procedures
- Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality, and raise any issues with the Head Chef
- Keep storage areas for equipment, dry goods and supplies clean, safe and organised
- Deliver hot and cold catering to clients, during peak periods and lunch rush where a second driver is required
- Provide friendly, professional service and clear handovers to clients
- Prepare catering equipment and supplies for scheduled deliveries
- Check orders against run sheets and support the Community Driver with additional delivery runs when needed
- Safely load, transport and unload catering items, including driving a small delivery van
- Keep purchasing,
inventory and delivery records up to date
About you
- 1-2 years' experience in logistics, operations, inventory management or hospitality
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communication and valuable customer service skills
- Experience with stock control, purchasing or supplier coordination is an advantage
- Basic computer skills and confidence using ordering systems and spreadsheets
- Physically able to lift and maneuver boxes and heavy loads (+20kgs)
- A valid Australian driver's licence, an excellent driving record and confidence driving a small van
- A proactive, dependable approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
