We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on tradesperson who enjoys working with leading engine and drivetrain brands in a dynamic workshop and field service environment.

About the Role

As a Mechanic at DA.MET Australia, you will be responsible for assisting with and carrying out the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment. You will work alongside experienced technicians and play an important role in ensuring our customers receive reliable and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of engines, transmissions, and associated mechanical systems.
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical components and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults and performance issues.
- Prepare and maintain tools, equipment, and materials required for service work.




- Complete servicing and repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide support on workshop and field service projects as required.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent.
- Experience working with diesel engines, heavy equipment, marine engines, or industrial machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Current driver's licence.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Experience working with Volvo Penta, Scania, MAN Engines, or ZF products.
- Experience in marine, transport, industrial, or construction equipment sectors.
- Forklift, HR/MR licence, or other relevant tickets.
