Join a Growing Building Company That Values Quality, Initiative and Exceptional Customer Service
RE-BUILT Group is a growing residential building company specialising in insurance repairs, builder warranty and defect rectification, residential renovations, maintenance works and school refurbishment projects throughout Melbourne's Western and Northern suburbs.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship, professional project management and outstanding customer service.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Building Supervisor to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day coordination and successful delivery of multiple building projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, solutions-focused supervisor who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and thrives in a role where initiative, organisation and communication are highly valued.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple residential and small commercial building projects from commencement through to completion.
Our projects are varied and include insurance repairs, Building & Plumbing Commission rectification works, builder warranty repairs, renovations, maintenance and school refurbishment works.
Unlike traditional volume-building supervision, this role offers a diverse range of projects requiring practical building knowledge,
strong organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet.
You will be the key point of contact between homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers and our office team, ensuring projects run efficiently, safely, on schedule and to our high standards.
We are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of their projects, work autonomously and proactively resolve challenges while maintaining excellent communication with everyone involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise multiple building projects simultaneously, ensuring works are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Coordinate and schedule trades, subcontractors, materials and site activities to maintain efficient project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, quality and safety.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project.
- Identify and resolve construction issues, defects and scheduling challenges proactively.
- Organise materials, coordinate deliveries and liaise with suppliers.
- Ensure works comply with relevant building regulations, safety requirements, plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project records, site notes, progress updates and variation documentation using company job management systems.
- Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining project profitability.
- Conduct final inspections, coordinate defect rectification and oversee successful project handovers.
- Maintain strong working relationships with trades, clients and the RE-BUILT Group team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Building Supervisor who combines robust practical construction knowledge with exceptional people skills and a proactive approach to project management.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in residential building projects, ideally including site supervision or project coordination.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, renovations, repairs and rectification works.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects, trades and schedules effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
- The confidence to communicate professionally with homeowners, trades, suppliers and management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions independently.
- Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to read and interpret building plans, specifications and scopes of work.
- Good computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records using job management software.
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused attitude.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence and Construction White Card.
Highly regarded but not essential:
- A trade qualification or background in carpentry or another building-related trade.
- Previous experience
