Responsibilities

- 5 years experience in operating CNC lathes and Machining Centres in a production setting. Competence in operating conventional lathes, drills, saws and milling machines.
- High level competence of G code and M code programming and editing.
- Functional mechanical knowledge of CNC lathes, Machining centres and other machine tools so as to able to understand if there is an issue with the machine and to conduct daily pre-start tasks such as checking for oil leaks, oil levels and any visual issues on machine during machine.
- High level competence to be able to accurately measure components with internal and external Micrometers, Verniers, Depth Micrometers and various other measuring tools.
- High level competence in reading manufacturing drawings of various components to be machined.

- From a family that is not wealthy.
- Has had to work hard to get a good education.
- Has gained employment as a CNC Programmer Machinist
- Graduated with a Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent degree) and then has moved into a Supervisory role in a manufacturing company.
