Allied Health Professionals – Come Work With Us
Occupational Therapists | Speech Pathologists | Physiotherapists | Behaviour Support Practitioners
Gladstone, QLD | Full-time or part-time | Flexible arrangements
About the role
My Spectrum Services is looking for Allied Health professionals and/or Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our team in Gladstone.
We're a multidisciplinary practice supporting children, young people and adults across disability, neurodivergence and mental health.
Our work isn't limited to a traditional therapy room. We provide services from our Gladstone clinic, our therapeutic farm, in people's homes, schools and communities, and via telehealth.
We're looking for people who enjoy what they do, value genuine relationships with their customers and want to be part of a team where different perspectives and ideas are welcomed.
Whether you're an experienced clinician looking for a change or an early-career practitioner finding your feet, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
Your day-to-day work will depend on your profession, experience and interests, but may include:
- Completing assessments and developing practical, individualised therapy or support plans
- Providing therapy and interventions that reflect each person's goals, strengths and circumstances
- Working alongside customers, families, carers and other professionals
- Supporting people to build skills, confidence and independence in their everyday lives
- Preparing reports and maintaining clinical documentation
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team and Allied Health Assistants
- Contributing your ideas and experience to how we deliver services
We don't expect everyone to do everything. We recognise that clinicians have different strengths, interests and areas of expertise.
What we're looking for
We're interested in people who are approachable, reliable and genuinely care about the work they do.
You'll need:
- Relevant qualifications and professional registration or accreditation for your discipline
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Sound clinical reasoning and a commitment to ethical, evidence-informed practice
- The ability to manage your workload and clinical responsibilities
- A willingness to learn, share ideas and contribute to the team
- Relevant NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children clearances, or willingness to obtain them
Experience in disability, mental health or neurodivergence is welcomed, but we're also happy to hear from clinicians wanting to develop their skills in these areas.
What we offer
We know that looking after the people who provide therapy is just as important as looking after the people receiving it.
Some of the benefits of working with MSS include:
- Paid birthday leave
- Five paid self-care days
- Paid internal and external clinical supervision
- Professional development opportunities
- A supportive multidisciplinary team
- Opportunities to work across our clinic, therapeutic farm and community settings
- Flexible working arrangements
- Opportunities to develop your clinical interests and areas of expertise
- Manageable caseloads
- Remuneration based on qualifications and experience
We value clinical autonomy, collaboration and a healthy balance between work and life outside of it.
A little about us
My Spectrum Services is a locally established, registered NDIS provider based in Gladstone, Central Queensland.
We provide occupational therapy, behaviour support, physiotherapy (hippotherapy), mental health services, assessments and other allied health supports.
We're neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and rights-based in our approach. We believe therapy should be meaningful, practical and tailored to the individual, rather than expecting people to fit into a particular model.
We're fortunate to have both a traditional clinic and a therapeutic farm, giving us the opportunity to work with people in environments where they feel comfortable and engaged.
We're not looking for someone who ticks every possible box. We're looking for people who share our values, take pride in their work and want to contribute to a supportive team.
Interested?
We'd love to hear a little about you, your experience and what you're looking for in your next role.
We welcome applications from people with disability, neurodivergent applicants and people from diverse backgrounds. Workplace adjustments and flexible arrangements can be discussed throughout the recruitment process.
