You willDeliver high quality patient care services relating to UrologyHave an ability to practice as an independent practitioner that encompasses good time management, communication skills, and patient advocacyManage and undertake surveillance of ureteric stents, ensuring patients receive care in documented timelinesWork together with the urology multidisciplinary team to ensure policies and procedures are reviewed, in line with evidence-based practice and underpins the urology and continence service deliveryDemonstrate an understanding and implementation of the Elective Surgery Implementation Standards guidelinesAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentA Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of post-graduate study would be encouraged.
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against

The Urology Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) service provides education and support when able. Particularly to individuals, their families and staff within Gold Coast Hospital and Robina Hospital, Outpatients Clinics and Emergency Department. The Urology Nurse service provides a comprehensive and flexible delivery of Urological education for all divisions, including Surgical, Medical and Allied Health.
