AC Laser Cutting is seeking experienced CNC Press Brake Operators to join our established sheet metal manufacturing team in Thomastown.
We have opportunities available across both day and night shifts, offering stable full time employment, competitive hourly rates and a modern manufacturing environment.

Choose the Shift That Suits You
DAY SHIFT
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Full-time, consistent weekday hours
NIGHT SHIFT
- Sunday to Thursday
- 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
- Additional 30% night shift loading
Hourly pay is negotiable based on your skills and experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines.
- Select appropriate tooling and determine efficient bending sequences.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Program and operate press brakes, including Bystronic equipment where required.
- Complete first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks.
- Identify and troubleshoot bending or programming issues.
- Work independently to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in experienced operators who can confidently set up and run CNC press brakes with minimal supervision.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and bending processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Experience selecting tooling, setting up machines and performing quality checks.
- Confidence working independently and solving production issues.
- A high level of attention to detail, safety and workmanship.
- A current Australian forklift licence.
Experience operating Bystronic press brakes will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
