- Future growth: Be part of an expanding service with plans for a second Perth location.
The Position
The successful applicant will provide comprehensive general paediatric care, with the opportunity to develop or expand their interests in ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
The caseload includes general paediatric presentations, infant and feeding concerns, growth and nutrition, asthma, gastrointestinal conditions, chronic medical conditions, learning and developmental difficulties, and complex presentations requiring multidisciplinary management.
This is a general paediatrics role rather than an ADHD-only assessment position. Training and supervision in ADHD assessment and management are available for clinicians looking to expand their scope of practice.
Two engagement models are available:
- Permanent salaried employment:
Indicative salary of $395,000–$512,500 per annum FTE plus statutory superannuation, with applicable leave and employment entitlements.
- Independent contractor: Retain 60–65% of billings under an individually negotiated service-fee arrangement, with flexible consulting sessions and agreed practice support.
Remuneration and working arrangements will be negotiated according to experience, availability and preferred engagement model.
The Practice
Join an established private paediatric healthcare service in Perth's northern suburbs, with consistent year-on-year growth and established referral pathways.
The practice brings together a team of paediatricians, GPs, child and adolescent psychiatry and allied health professionals, including occupational therapists, speech pathologists and a dietitian. This integrated model supports collaborative assessment, continuity of care and the management of children with complex medical and developmental needs.
With continued service development and a second location planned for 2027, this is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of private paediatric services in Western Australia while enjoying the support of an established clinical and administrative team.
- FRACP in Paediatrics and Child Health, or an appropriate equivalent qualification.
- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain registration.
- Broad general paediatric clinical experience.
- Willingness to incorporate ADHD assessment and management into your caseload, with training and supervision provided.
- An interest in autism and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to family-centred care.
Private practice experience is desirable but not essential. Applications from New Zealand-based specialists considering relocation to Western Australia are welcome, with confidential discussions available regarding registration pathways, working arrangements and relocation timing.
