Powder Monkey Australia brews the likes of Akasha, Southern Highlands Brewing, Willie The Boatman and Wayward. They're looking for a new brewer to join them at their Sydney production hub.

Powder Monkey Australia | Sydney

Powder Monkey Australia is a growing collective of craft beer brands, bringing together some of Australia’s most respected breweries under one roof. As we continue to scale production, launch new venues, and expand our brand portfolio, we’re looking for an experienced Brewer to join our production team.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who loves brewing great beer, thrives in a fast‑paced setting, and takes pride in quality, consistency, and teamwork.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Brewer, you’ll play a key role in day‑to‑day brewing operations across multiple brands, styles, and formats. You’ll be involved in everything from brewhouse operations through to cellar work, packaging and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- End‑to‑end brewing operations (brewhouse, cellar, transfers, dry hopping, CIP)
- Monitoring fermentation, quality control, and beer conditioning
- Supporting packaging operations and tank scheduling
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety,



and record‑keeping
- Assisting with recipe execution and scaling across brands
- Troubleshooting brewing and cellar issues as they arise
- Working collaboratively with the wider production and hospitality teams

About You

- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial brewery
- Strong understanding of brewhouse and cellar operations
- Hands‑on experience with canning lines, including setup, operation, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
- Proven ability to brew consistently to specification
- Comfortable working with multiple brands, styles, and production priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physically capable of manual handling and brewery duties
- Forklift license and formal brewing qualifications desirable (but not essential)
