This is a hands-on factory role assisting with the manufacture, preparation and handling of timber staircase components. The position also includes driving a manual, car-licence truck for deliveries when required.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting tradespeople with the manufacture and preparation of timber stair components
- Using basic hand and power tools
- Sanding, packing and preparing completed components
- Moving and storing timber and materials within the factory
- Loading and unloading stair components and materials
- Driving a manual, car-licence truck to building sites between Sydney and Newcastle
- Hand unloading deliveries on site
- Keeping the factory, yard and work areas clean and organised
- Assisting with general factory and production tasks as required
About you
- Confidence driving a manual transmission vehicle or truck
- Previous experience in carpentry, joinery, cabinetmaking, timber manufacturing or factory production is preferred
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Valuable attention to detail and pride in completing work properly
- Able to commute to West Gosford each day
