We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team at mecwacare Noel Miller Centre, a 138-room residential aged care home in the heart of Glen Iris, just a short walk from High Street and Malvern Road’s shops and cafés.

You will prepare fresh, nutritious and delicious meals that support our residents’ health and wellbeing. Working independently and alongside a supportive team, you will help create a dining experience our residents look forward to every day.

What you bring:

- Previous experience in Aged Care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
- HLTFSE001 Follow basic food safety practices (Release 1).
- HLTFSE005 Apply and monitor food safety requirements (Release 1).
- HLTFSE007 Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace (Release1).
- Food Safety Supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of kitchen operations and management of kitchen staff.
- Experience in working to a set budget
- Ability to provide a high standard of customer service
- Availability to work weekends and weekdays.
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of food for large groups.
