THE OPPORTUNITY
LAWD is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support one of our National Directors in a busy professional services environment.
We're looking for someone with a strong EA mindset: highly organised, proactive, several steps ahead and naturally positive at creating structure around someone else's workload.
What makes this opportunity different is the focus on efficiency.
Alongside providing excellent executive support, you will look critically at how work is being managed, put effective systems in place and use Microsoft Copilot to simplify processes, reduce repetitive administration and make better use of time.
You’ll need to be someone who doesn't just manage what's in front of them. You notice inefficiencies, work out a better approach and implement it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage diary commitments, meetings, correspondence and follow-up actions.
- Create structure around competing priorities, deadlines and commitments.
- Establish effective systems for managing information, documents, actions and workflow.
- Identify inefficient or repetitive administrative processes and find better ways of managing them.
- Use Microsoft Copilot to create practical efficiencies in day-to-day work.
- Develop Copilot agents and workflows that reduce manual administration and support effective information management.
- Create templates and repeatable processes that make work easier and more efficient.
- Coordinate travel, meetings, events and other executive requirements.
- Support broader team and office where required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You are first and foremost an experienced and highly capable Executive Assistant.
You enjoy organising a busy executive, can quickly work out what they need and have the initiative and judgement to make things happen without waiting to be asked.
Just as importantly, you are curious about how work can be done better.
You are confident using Microsoft Copilot and interested in applying AI practically to solve problems and create efficiencies.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience supporting a senior executive in a busy environment.
- Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills.
- The ability to bring structure and discipline to a complex workload.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills.
- Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity.
- An interest in developing Copilot agents, workflows and other practical solutions.
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Initiative, sound judgement and the confidence to suggest a better approach.
- A genuine interest in systems, process improvement and creating efficiencies.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Success in this role means leaving things better, simpler and more efficient than you found them.
You will have established effective systems around the Director's workload, improved the management of priorities and information, and used Copilot and smarter processes to reduce administrative effort.
The role is initially offered as a six-month fixed-term contract with a focus on delivering these outcomes. Successful approaches developed through the role may also have application more broadly across LAWD and lead to more opportunities.
FLEXIBILITY
This is a part-time position, ideally worked across five days to provide consistency of support.
We are flexible about how those hours are structured and are happy to consider what works best for you.
Use your EA expertise to bring structure, organisation and control to a busy National Director's workload.
Put better systems in place and use Microsoft Copilot to create genuine efficiencies and reduce administration.
Part-time, adaptable arrangements 20-25 hours a week and potential to make an impact beyond the initial six-month contract.
