TRS Resourcing is seeking trade-qualified Diesel Mechanics / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics for temp-to-perm opportunities supporting an established transport operator’s Queensland workshop. Day and afternoon shift patterns are available, with applicable shift loading paid on top of the base rate for afternoon shift. These roles suit experienced mechanics who enjoy working on prime movers and heavy commercial vehicles and are looking for ongoing workshop employment with a pathway to a permanent position.

The Role
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Repairing engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and driveline components
- Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying required repairs
- Completing general mechanical repairs and component replacement
- Maintaining secure work practices and high standards of workmanship
- Accurately recording servicing, maintenance and repair work
About You
- An Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
- Strong hands-on experience servicing and repairing prime movers and heavy vehicles
- Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience across a range of heavy vehicle systemsThe ability to work independently and within a workshop team
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability and quality workmanship
- Availability for a day or afternoon shift pattern
