We’re looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our teams in fixed plant maintenance, keeping crushing, screening, conveying and processing plant safe, reliable and running at its best.

This is a great opportunity for a fitter from a Mining, Quarrying, Mineral Processing or Heavy Industry background who wants varied work and the chance to build their skills across different sites and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and shutdown work on fixed plant equipment
- Fault-finding and diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs promptly and safely
- Removing, repairing, replacing and aligning pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and drive components
- Maintaining conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders and associated plant
- Working to isolation and lockout procedures and site safety systems
- Completing job documentation and reporting accurately
- Working closely with operations, supervisors and other trades to minimise downtime

What You’ll Need

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
- Previous experience in fixed plant maintenance in mining, quarrying, mineral processing or heavy industry
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals
- Current driver’s licence
- Experience with shutdown work (desirable)
