CAPTAIN HOOKED in Lorne, Victoria 3232 is seeking an experienced Chef to work full-time in the business. You will contribute to menu development and prepare food dishes to the highest standard. You will also work in a friendly team environment to provide excellent service and eating experience to our customers.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking food using different cooking techniques
- Ordering food supplies
- Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Discussing food preparation with colleagues
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- Assisting with the training of staff

About you

- Must have at least Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar role
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have solid food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- Effective communication, teamwork and organisational skills
