About the service

Bellingen Burrows Long Day Care Centre has been part of the Bellingen community for more than 25 years. As a family-owned service operating on beautiful Gumbaynggirr Country, we provide a warm, nurturing and safe environment where children can thrive.

Our mixed-age grouping approach supports strong, respectful relationships and a deep sense of belonging. We value our community connections and prioritise learning on Country, giving children plenty of time outdoors to explore, discover and engage with nature.

Our high-quality, play-based program nurtures a lifelong love of learning for children aged 18 months and over.

About the role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will help create a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every child is known, valued and supported. You will:

- Use the Early Years Learning Framework to guide your practice
- Plan, implement and reflect on engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences
- Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development




- Build strong partnerships with families and respect each child’s unique background
- Maintain accurate records and uphold health, safety and hygiene standards
- Follow our Child Safe Code of Conduct and contribute to a child-safe culture
- Participate in professional development, training and team meetings
- Support an inclusive environment that celebrates and accommodates diverse needs

About you

You are a caring, capable educator who:

- Places children’s wellbeing at the centre of their practice
- Is committed to ongoing learning and professional growth
- Takes initiative and contributes positively to a small, collaborative team
- Values open communication, reliability and strong teamwork
- Enjoys learning outdoors and connecting children with their local community and environment

What you will need

- A completed ACECQA-recognised Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care; educators working towards their Diploma will also be considered
- Australian working rights with no restrictions on your ability to work
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Completed Child Protection Training and mandatory National Child Safety Training
- A sound understanding of child safe standards and practices
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and National Regulations (2011)
- A sound understanding of the EYLF
- At least two professional references

Key eligibility information

This opportunity is best suited to educators who already live in Bellingen or the surrounding area, or who can independently relocate to the region. Bellingen Burrows does not provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance. Applicants must already hold unrestricted Australian working rights.
