The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automotive Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced Moranbah maintenance operation in aLeading Hand capacity. You’ll combine hands-on maintenance with day-to-day team leadership, coordinating work priorities and fostering strong relationships while supporting our fleet of explosive manufacturing mobile and fixed assets.

The successful applicant will safely and successfully deliver daily maintenance requirements, plans and KPI’s in accordance with company’s values, legislation and HSEQ procedures. In addition, the Leading Hand Maintenance Technician will lead maintenance execution in line with, health, safety and quality programs relating to the maintenance functionality that are performed on site.

To be competent in the role, you will need:

- Volvo Equipment Experience – nominally rigid trucks
- SAP experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency
- Heavy Rigid vehicle license (advantageous)
- Queensland police clearance (SSAN)

To be successful in this role; you will also demonstrate:

- You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance self-intuitive culture
- Workshop experience with heavy mobile fleet maintenance within a mining workplace
- Demonstrated experience with European prime movers (Volvo advantageous)
- Mechanical trade certification (Dual trade automotive and auto electrical advantageous)
- Auto electrical experience backed with strong diagnostic aptitude
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry and control systems.
- Ability to plan, manage and control material, contractor and employee resources
- Have the ability to obtain Queensland security clearance (SSAN)
- Hold HR licencing (advantageous)
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the capability to lead and work in a team environment
- Excellent problem solving / troubleshooting skills, and ability to prioritise duties
- Conduct timely breakdown related maintenance such as troubleshooting, repairs and replacements.
- Strong focus and leadership on all facets of Health, Safety and Environment

The Site

The role is located within Moranbah town – based on a 12hr 7days on 7days off roster with residential housing support, DIDO or FIFO with camp supplied.
