Commercial Property Manager & Business Development Manager

Melcorp is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Property Manager & Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne CBD team.
This is a unique prospect for an ambitious commercial property professional who enjoys property management, leasing and business development.
You will be responsible to build a portfolio of commercial, retail, and office rental portfolio across Melbourne's CBD.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of building and growing a successful commercial property division, not simply managing an existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small existing portfolio of commercial retail and office properties
- Oversee tenant relationships, rent reviews, lease renewals, arrears, and day-to-day property management.
- Negotiate commercial leases, renewals, and lease terms.
- Market and lease vacant retail and office premises.
- Proactively identify and secure new commercial property management appointments.
- Conduct property inspections, market rental assessments and leasing appraisals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors and tenants.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to grow the commercial rental portfolio.
- Identify new leasing and management opportunities throughout Melbourne's CBD.
- Play an active role in establishing and expanding Melcorp's commercial property management division.
About You
We are looking for an experienced commercial property professional who can take ownership of the role and contribute to the continued growth of our business.
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience in commercial property management and leasing.
- Strong knowledge of the Melbourne CBD commercial property market, particularly retail and office.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business and secure commercial management appointments.
- Experience negotiating commercial leases and dealing directly with landlords and tenants.
- Sound knowledge of Victorian commercial property legislation and leasing requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a genuine passion for business development.
