Delivery Driver & Storeman
$36 per hour | Casual | Rouse Hill, NSW
More than just driving be the person who keeps projects moving.
Are you a reliable driver who takes pride in getting the job done right? Do you enjoy being on the road, working with your hands and keeping things organised?
We are seeking a Delivery Driver & Storeman to join a busy commercial fit‑out business based in Rouse Hill, supporting projects and construction sites across Sydney.
The business delivers commercial fit‑out projects and relies on a well‑organised, dependable support team to ensure materials, tools and equipment are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who can take ownership of their work, think ahead and keep things running smoothly. You will spend most of your time collecting materials from suppliers and delivering orders to project sites, with warehouse duties in between.
We are looking for someone who doesn't need to be chased, takes responsibility and understands the importance of being reliable.
What You'll Be Doing
Driving & Deliveries
- Drive company light tipper trucks (under 4.5 tonnes) to collect and deliver materials, tools and equipment across Sydney.
- Pick up supplier orders and ensure deliveries arrive at the right site, on time.
- Safely load, unload and secure materials for transport.
- Coordinate delivery runs with the Project Management team to keep projects on schedule.
- Complete delivery paperwork, dockets and site sign-offs.
- Assist with general collections and errands when required.
Warehouse & Store Operations
- Receive and check incoming deliveries to ensure orders are correct.
- Pick,
pack and prepare materials for upcoming site deliveries.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and ready for the next job.
- Assist with stocktakes and maintain basic stock records.
- Keep track of tools and equipment going to and returning from sites.
- Take responsibility for looking after company materials, tools and equipment.
Vehicle Care & Safety
- Complete daily vehicle pre-start checks and report any issues promptly.
- Keep company vehicles clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Follow road rules, workplace health and safety procedures and construction site requirements.
- Complete site inductions and wear the required PPE.
- Use safe manual handling techniques and maintain a safety‑first approach.
What We're Looking For
The right person will be practical, dependable and proactive. You understand that getting materials to site on time matters, that orders need to be checked properly and that a tidy warehouse makes everyone's job easier.
Essential requirements:
- Current Australian C Class driver's licence with a good driving record.
- Availability Monday to Friday, as required, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Explicit communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers,
project managers and site teams.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions and manage changing priorities.
- Physically capable of regular lifting, carrying, loading and unloading.
- Willingness to work across the warehouse, on the road and at active construction sites.
- Current White Card, or willingness to obtain one.
Experience that will set you apart:
- Previous experience in delivery driving, warehousing, storeperson duties or construction.
- Experience driving a tipper, ute or similar vehicle carrying materials.
- A current forklift licence (LF).
- Familiarity with building materials, tools, equipment and supplier collections.
You don't necessarily need years of construction experience. If you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to learn, we encourage you to apply.
What Does the Ideal Candidate Look Like?
- Show up on time, every time and understand that other people depend on you.
- Take ownership of tasks and get on with the job without constant supervision.
- Double-check orders, quantities and delivery details rather than taking shortcuts.
- Communicate early if something is delayed or doesn't look right.
- Stay productive when you're back at the warehouse between deliveries.
- Treat vehicles, tools, equipment and materials with care.
- Are happy to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed.
- Maintain a professional, helpful attitude with suppliers and construction site teams.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, likes staying active and wants to be a dependable part of a team. It is not a driving‑only
