Maxitool Australia is a division of the Maxitool Group, providing high-quality Dredging and Engineering services to clients within the mining and resource industries for over 20 years.
We are currently seeking an entry-level spotter/ deckhand for ongoing FIFO work on a dredging project at a coal mine in the Bowen Basin.
The Position
- FIFO via Cairns or Brisbane
- Camp accommodation & meals provided
Duties
- Spotting personnel working on the water.
- Moving dredge anchor points.
- Pre-starting machinery.
- Starting and shutting down pumpsets.
- General errands on site i.e. collecting fuel, delivering paperwork etc.
- Current Coal Board Medical.
- Current Standard 11 Mining Generic Coal Induction.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Current Glencore Generic Induction (GGI) very desirable.
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test.
- Hard working and self-motivated.
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Willing to comply with site rules, processes and controls identified in risk assessments.
- Willing to be accountable.
Skills & Experience required
Mining experience, or willingness to listen and learn how to operate in a mining workplace.
