Legacy Media is a Melbourne-based digital agency built for the construction industry: builders, trades and the businesses behind them. We run their marketing end to end: SEO, paid ads, strategy, and the content that makes them the go-to name in their market. We also build AI systems for construction businesses, and we use AI across our own work every day.

The role

We're looking for an experienced videographer to own video production at Legacy Media.

You'll be our main shooter, running shoot days on construction sites across Melbourne and producing content for our clients and for Legacy Media itself. You'll also run our production board, keep every job moving, and work with our editor and freelancers to get great work out fast.

You'll report directly to the founder. We want someone who doesn't need to be told what's next. You see what needs doing and you get it done.

What you'll do

Shoot

- Run client shoot days on site: walkthroughs, brand films, reels and photos
- Own the creative direction and content ideas for each client, within their brand and expectations
- Fly the drone for aerials and progress footage

Manage

- Take ownership of the production board: scheduling, deadlines and keeping every job moving
- Work with our editors and freelancers, and make sure everything that goes out meets our standard
- Keep turnaround tight. Speed matters

Edit

- Edit your own shoots from rough cut to final delivery, including colour grading
- Hand off to our editor when volume calls for it, and make sure the final cut still meets our standard

Build our brand

- Work directly with the founder to shoot and produce his personal brand content, including YouTube
- Come up with and produce content for Legacy Media's own channels
- Help shape how Legacy Media looks and shows up online

Who you are

- An experienced shooter, not a trainee. Your work has a wow factor and your reel shows it.
- Organised.



You can run multiple jobs at once without anything slipping.
- Proactive. You work independently and don't wait to be told every little thing.
- Coachable. You take feedback and apply it.
- Open to new tools, including AI, and willing to adapt as the industry changes.

Requirements

- 3+ years shooting professionally (5+ ideal)
- Confident on Sony cinema cameras (we shoot on FX3 and FX30)
- Working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and titles
- Professional colour grading
- Confident drone pilot, and willing to learn FPV if you don't already fly it
- Experience managing jobs, schedules or other creatives
- Driver's licence and your own vehicle
- White Card, or willing to get one before you start
- Available for early starts when the job calls for it

Nice to have

- Drone licence (RePL)
- FPV drone experience, or keen to learn
- Advanced After Effects or VFX skills
- Comfortable directing builders and tradies on camera

Results

First 90 days:

- You're running shoot days on your own, from site to final files
- You've taken over the production board and jobs are moving without being chased

12 months:

- We're shooting more each month because you've built the capacity to do it
- Legacy Media's own content is being produced consistently, from your ideas
- Clients are getting content with a wow factor, on time

Location

Albert Park office and on site across Melbourne. We run a hybrid mode, but working from home is earned, and you need to be wherever the job needs you.

Compensation

$90,000 to $110,000 + super, plus travel pay. Where you land depends on your experience and what your work shows.
