With approximately 80 employees, we’re not focused on being the biggest, but the best at what we do. With continued growth and exciting projects across Victoria, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at our Geelong Head Office.

The Role

As our new Senior Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our accounts payable function. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable processes, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Working closely with our finance and operational teams, you’ll help maintain financial accuracy, improve processes, and support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing business.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment preparation
- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Preparing and coordinating weekly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensuring invoices and expenses are accurately allocated to the correct projects, cost codes, and business units




- Maintaining accurate supplier records and ensuring compliance with internal processes
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Managing supplier enquiries and resolving payment or invoice issues proactively
- Monitoring outstanding invoices and ensuring payments are made in accordance with agreed terms
- Assisting with month-end processes, including accounts payable reconciliations and accruals
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the accounts payable function
- Supporting the broader finance team with reporting, administration, and other financial tasks as required

About You

- Proven experience in a Senior Accounts Payable Officer or similar role, ideally within a busy, project-based environment
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes and financial controls
- Previous experience in construction, civil contracting, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar industry will be highly regarded
- Experience with project cost coding and allocating expenses across multiple projects
- Strong reconciliation skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Confident using accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and digital invoice processing systems




- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and operational teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with a willingness to take ownership and get things done
- A genuine team player who enjoys contributing to a positive and supportive workplace
