The Freedom Hub is opening an exciting new café and events space in Waterloo, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Barista / 2IC to help bring it to life!
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who loves great coffee, thrives in a busy hospitality environment and enjoys creating memorable customer experiences.
What you'll be doing:
- Making consistently excellent coffee and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Supporting daily café operations and leading the team on shift.
- Assisting with events, functions and corporate hospitality.
- Managing stock, maintaining standards and keeping things running smoothly.
- Stepping up to lead operations when the Hospitality Operations Manager is away.

- A positive, proactive attitude and excellent people skills.
- Someone who can lead by example and enjoys being hands‑on.
- Flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend events.
