Therole

We'relookingforaGridConnectionEngineertojoinaclose-knitdevelopmentandtechnicalteam,reportingtotheGridConnectionsManager.Thisisa technical role performing grid connection studies. You'llgetexposureacrossthefullprojectlifecycle,fromearlyfeasibilityandnetworkcapacityassessmentthroughtoconstructionandoperating-assetsupport,ratherthanbeingsiloedintoonephase.

You'llplayakeyrolein:

- Assessinggridconnectioncapacityandnetworkriskforprospectivewind,solarandBESSsites,includingloadflowanalysisandidentificationofaugmentationrequirements
- SupportingconnectionoptionassessmentandengagementwithNetworkServiceProviders(NSPs)onbehalfoftheprojectdevelopmentteam
- ContributingtoGeneratorPerformanceStandards(GPS)modellingandconnection-relatedtechnicalduediligenceforprojectsmovingtowardfinancialclose
- Providinggridconnectioninputintoconstruction-phasedesignreviews,commissioningandgeneratorregistration
- Supportingcompliancetestingandconnection-relatedissueresolutiononoperatingassets,workingalongsidetheAssetManagementteam

Aboutyou





- 3+years'experienceinpowersystemsengineering,eitherfromaconsultingbackground(gridconnectionstudies,GPSmodelling,technicalduediligence)orfromastrongacademicfoundationinpowersystems(we'regenuinelyopentocandidateswhoarestrongerondepthofstudyandmodellingabilitythanyearsinacommercialseat)
- WorkingproficiencyinPSS/Eand/orPSCAD,plusDIgSILENTPowerFactory
- Someexposuretocomplianceandvalidationprocessesonoperatingrenewableassets(post-commissioningtesting,performancevalidation,non-compliancerectification)ishighlyregarded
- Tertiaryqualificationinpowersystemsorelectricalengineering
- Stronganalyticalinstincts,comfortableworkingindependently,andgenuinelycuriousabouthowtheNEMactuallyworks,notjustthetheory
