A little heads‑up: this is hands‑on work, and there will be plenty of repetitive sanding, grinding and surface preparation. We're looking for people who enjoy keeping busy, working with their hands and taking pride in a quality finish.
What are we looking for? We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds. Previous experience in boat building, marine, woodworking, carpentry, cabinetmaking, fibreglass, composites, spray painting or general manufacturing would be ideal, but it's certainly not essential. More important than industry experience is the right attitude If you're practical, reliable, keen to learn and interested in getting into the manufacturing or marine industry, this could be a great opportunity to get started.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in labouring, factory work, manufacturing, production or a similar hands‑on role
Confidence using hand and power tools
Experience with sanding, grinding, polishing, woodworking or surface preparation (highly regarded)
A strong work ethic and a reliable approach to attendance
Good attention to detail and pride in your work
The ability to handle repetitive tasks and remain focused throughout the day
A willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
You don't need to be a qual
