An exciting temporary opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established organisation based in Brisbane’s inner-city suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who can hit the ground running and manage payroll across a diverse workforce. The Role Reporting to the relevant manager, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll for up to 200 salaried employees and 100 casual employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
- Process end-to-end payroll for up to 200 salaried employees and 100 casual employees
- Process new starters, terminations and employee changes
- Review and process timesheets, overtime, allowances and deductions
- Calculate and process leave entitlements and payroll adjustments
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
- Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies
- Process superannuation contributions and payroll tax requirements as applicable
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation
- Respond to payroll queries and provide support to employees
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations About You




- Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
- Experience processing payroll for both salaried and casual employees
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards and employee entitlements
- High level of accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with payroll systems such as MicrOpay, Chris21, Aurion or Employment Hero will be highly regarded What's on Offer
