We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team around Brisbane North (Warner/Morayfield) and Brisbane South (Logan/Red Bank Plains). You will provide personalised support to individuals exhibiting challenging behavior, help them access the community, and identify activities in the community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to individuals exhibiting challenging behavior
- Provide personalised support to individuals to access the community
- Provide personalised support to individuals to identify activities in the community
- Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate physical and verbal aggression
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals in your care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and progress
About you
- Proven experience in supporting individuals with challenging behavior
- Demonstrated ability to manage and respond effectively to physical and verbal aggression
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in support work or related fields are preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
