About the role
Josephine Agostino Hair is seeking a Salon Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our salon located in Haberfield, NSW 2045. This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the vibrant hair industry. As a Salon Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our salon runs smoothly whilst delivering exceptional customer service. You will work alongside our experienced stylists, gaining valuable hands-on experience whilst contributing to the overall success and reputation of our salon. *Please note that salon experience is mandatory. Individuals looking to get back into the hairdressing industry welcomed to apply. Basin work required.
* What you'll be doing 1. Greeting clients warmly upon arrival and managing the reception desk, including scheduling appointments and answering telephone enquiries 2. Assisting stylists during hair treatments, colour applications, and other salon services under supervision 3. Shampooing, conditioning and rinsing clients' hair with care and attention to detail 4. Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised salon environment, including sterilising equipment and tidying styling stations 5. Stocking and managing salon supplies, restocking shelves and monitoring inventory levels 6. Handling cash and card payments accurately and securely using our point-of-sale system 7. Recommending appropriate hair care and beauty products to clients to enhance their salon experience 8. Supporting the team with general administrative tasks such as data entry and filing 9. Providing excellent customer service at all times, ensuring clients feel valued and comfortable 10. Assisting with salon events,



promotions and special projects as required What we're looking for 1. Enthusiasm and passion for the hair and beauty industry with a genuine interest in learning and developing your skills 2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, stylists and team members 3. A friendly, approachable demeanour with strong customer service orientation 4. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene 5. Reliability and punctuality with the ability to commit to full-time hours or 4 days a week 6. Physical fitness for standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks 7. Willingness to follow health, safety and salon protocols at all times 8. Previous salon or customer service experience is advantageous 9. Relevant qualifications in hairdressing or would be beneficial 10. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and respond positively to feedback
