Key Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate individualised, goal-oriented art therapy sessions based on participants’ needs, preferences, strengths, and goals.
- Use appropriate creative and art-based approaches to encourage self-expression, communication, emotional exploration, and participation.
- Develop and review individualised intervention plans in consultation with participants and, where appropriate, their families, carers, and support teams.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant records.
- Collaborate with relevant allied health professionals and support teams to promote coordinated, person-centred care.
- Apply appropriate safeguarding, privacy, consent, and risk-management practices.
- Ensure services are delivered within professional competencies, applicable ethical standards, and relevant NDIS requirements.
- Participate in professional development, supervision, and continuous improvement activities. Qualifications and Requirements




- A relevant tertiary qualification in Art Therapy or an equivalent qualification appropriate to the role. Relevant professional membership, credentials, and experience supporting people with disability will be considered in accordance with the requirements of the position.
- Relevant practical experience in art therapy, disability support, mental health, community services, or a related setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred and strengths-based approaches.
- Robust communication, documentation, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to participant dignity, choice, privacy, independence, and safeguarding.
- Willingness to comply with applicable professional standards, workplace policies, and NDIS Code of Conduct requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NDIS Worker Screening Check where required for the position.
- Current Australian work rights or eligibility to work in Australia. Work
