- Australian Citizenship and security clearance required About the Opportunity We are partnering with a leading global technology organisation seeking an experienced ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) / CMDB Consultant to support the delivery and optimisation of enterprise ServiceNow capabilities. This role will focus on implementing, enhancing and maintaining Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery and Configuration Management solutions. Working closely with infrastructure, IT operations, asset management and service management teams, you will help improve asset visibility, configuration data accuracy, governance and compliance across complex enterprise environments. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on ServiceNow experience, an understanding of ITIL-aligned processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow HAM & Asset Management
- Support the implementation, administration and continuous improvement of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management capabilities.
- Manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh and retirement.
- Improve asset visibility, lifecycle tracking, compliance and reporting.
- Support the adoption of ServiceNow HAM Pro functionality and ITAM best practices. CMDB & Configuration Management
- Maintain and enhance the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate and reliable Configuration Item (CI) records.
- Improve CMDB data quality, integrity, governance and compliance.
- Identify, classify and maintain CIs, dependencies and service relationships.
- Perform CMDB audits,



reconciliation activities and data quality assessments.
- Support configuration management processes aligned with ITIL and Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) principles. ServiceNow Discovery & ITOM
- Configure, maintain and optimise ServiceNow Discovery schedules and patterns.
- Support automated CI identification, classification and population.
- Troubleshoot Discovery issues and improve coverage across infrastructure environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to maintain accurate configuration data.
- Support integration between Discovery, CMDB, ITAM and broader ServiceNow capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
- Work with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend ServiceNow solutions.
- Develop dashboards, reporting and performance metrics covering asset management, CMDB health and Discovery.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, governance and operational efficiency.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, process guides and knowledge articles. Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with ServiceNow in complex enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Experience configuring, maintaining or optimising ServiceNow Discovery.
- Robust understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM),



IT Operations Management (ITOM) and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Knowledge of Configuration Items, CI relationships, identification and reconciliation processes.
- Experience managing CMDB data quality, governance and compliance.
- Understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned configuration management processes.
- Good knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms and associated technologies.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. Desirable Certifications & Experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in a relevant discipline, such as HAM or Discovery.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
- Experience implementing or enhancing ServiceNow HAM Pro.
- Experience delivering ServiceNow solutions within large-scale enterprise or government environments.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Service Mapping and CMDB Health capabilities. Security Clearance Requirements Candidates must hold a current Australian Government security clearance at Baseline, NV1 or higher . Why Consider This Opportunity?
