About the Opportunity - Port Melbourne and Dandenong

Delta Group's expanding Store division is seeking a reliable and hands-on Storeperson / Yard Labourer to join our team, supporting projects across Melbourne and Victoria.

This is a fast-paced, physically active role where you'll play an important part in ensuring construction sites receive the tools, equipment and consumables they need. You'll split your time between forklift operations, picking and packing orders, managing stock and coordinating with drivers to ensure orders are accurate and delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate forklifts of various sizes to load and unload vehicles and delivery trucks.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for construction sites across Melbourne.
- Source tools,



equipment and consumables to meet site requirements, providing practical solutions where needed.
- Liaise with internal and external drivers to coordinate orders, track deliveries and ensure accurate handovers.
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe yard and work area.
- Follow all site safety requirements, procedures and operational guidelines.
- Provide responsive, qualified service to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure daily operations run smoothly.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- At least two years' experience in a warehouse, stores or pick-packing environment.
- A current forklift licence (LF) is preferred.
- A current driver's licence is preferred, or reliable transport to our Port Melbourne or Dandenong locations.
- Good knowledge of the construction industry and associated tools, equipment and consumables.
- The physical fitness required to manually handle a range of products.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately manage orders.

- A professional presentation, strong work ethic, strong communication skills and proactive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work additional hours and half-day Saturdays when required.

Successful applicants must also be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
