An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Contract Administrator to join an established developer-builder delivering a premium 27-level residential apartment development on the Gold Coast.
Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, Site Manager Site Manager, Site Engineer and Supervisors you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, ensuring subcontractor procurement, cost control and contractual obligations are effectively managed throughout construction.
This prospect will appeal to a commercially astute CA with experience delivering multi-storey residential projects who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively with site teams and contributing to successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, negotiations and contract letting.
- Administer subcontract agreements, progress claims, variations and final accounts.
- Monitor project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout construction.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to support programme and delivery objectives.
- Manage contractual correspondence, notices and project documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to value engineering, cost efficiencies and positive commercial outcomes.
About You
We are seeking a capable Contract Administrator with a strong commercial foundation and experience working for a principal contractor or developer-builder.
Ideally, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator on multi-storey residential or comparable commercial construction projects.
- Experience with subcontractor procurement, contract administration, variations and cost reporting.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- A practical understanding of construction methodology and project delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Strong tenure and a genuine interest in developing a long-term career with the business.
- Previous experience delivering high-rise residential developments on the Gold Coast or within South East Queensland will be highly regarded.
