M3 Logistics is a privately owned business that was established to provide niche logistics & warehousing solutions to the home appliance industry. With a specialised national distribution footprint in-excess of 150,000sqm and Distribution Centres located across the country’s major capital cities, this enables quality and timely services to all of Australia. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our South Australian Operations. Based in Edinburgh, this role reports to the Head of Logistics. Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing the team and overseeing all facets of the operation. This role is integral to the successful running of the day-to-day operational activities and ensuring the timely delivery of customer goods through efficient and cost-effective use of our transport providers.
Key responsibilities
will include:
- Supervision and leadership of the warehouse team (10 staff)
- Prioritising work and directing warehouse staff to high priority tasks
- Balancing activities across the warehouse to ensure all clients receive service
- Ensure work is completed safely and all site safety rules are followed
- Plan daily allocation of transport
- Plan container bookings
- Achieve DIFOT and Utilisation targets
- Ensure inventory processes are maintained
- Ensure inbound linehaul is unloaded, checked off and staged in picking bays
- Ensure all outbound deliveries including regional runs, are loaded with the use of proper load restraints, CoR compliance and associated records management
- Plan and manage all home deliveries and site installations
- Ensure housekeeping and waste management is maintained on site
- Manage hire pallets and internal control sheets
- Manage site security About You: We are looking for someone who will take initiative to drive performance and efficiencies in the warehouse. With a demonstrated leadership background and experience in forklift operations, you will enjoy empowering and driving engagement throughout your team within a quick-paced 3PL environment. Key capabilities and attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities including management of staff performance
- Strong working knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and requirements
- Experience high activity warehouse distribution operations. 3PL experience is desirable
- Confident computer literacy with experience with Outlook and prior experience with using WMS & TMS systems
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines and client demands
- Effective internal and external communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail and highly organised
