The team brings together expertise in digital pedagogy, learning technology, inclusive practices, educational media and learning experience design.Job Purpose / SummaryThe Manager, Learning Design manages the strategic design and development of teaching and learning products aligned with UTS strategy and its approach to teaching. The role provides expert learning advice and leads and mentors a small team of learning design professionals.Role responsibilitiesDevelop effective relationships with Faculty stakeholders and align local priorities with institutional strategy.Lead and contribute to learning design projects across UTS.Manage a portfolio of teaching and learning products, balancing schedules, resources,



quality and milestones.Lead the design and continuous improvement of engaging learning experiences and resources.Lead and mentor a collaborative learning design team.Promote effective educational technology use and sound, inclusive learning design practices.Refer to the position description for more detail.Selection CriteriaApplicants should provide their CV and a written response of no more than three (3) pages addressing the criteria below:Leadership:Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of learning design professionals, creating positive team culture and aligning practice with Portfolio and University strategy.Learning Design Principles:In-depth knowledge of contemporary learning design principles and practices.Learning Design Quality & Standards:Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing and applying learning design quality frameworks, sector standards and quality assurance processes to support consistent, accessible and high-quality learning experiences.Educational Technologies:Proficiency in the use of educational technologies and tools to enhance teaching and learning and a sound understanding of Generative AI and data tools in teaching and learning contexts.Project Management:Demonstrated experience in managing multiple learning design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.What we offerBase Salary:$125,718.00 - $153,652.00 (HEW 8/9)
