We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Capability Manager to lead strategic capability initiatives across Smart, with a strong focus on sales performance, lifting AI capability and competency and group wide enterprise learning.

You’ll turn business priorities and opportunities into practical, scalable, measurable solutions that improve performance and behaviours

This is a role for someone who can think strategically and influence senior leaders, but also pivot to overseeing program delivery and measurement of impact.

A key focus will be evolving our Sales Academy (across B2B, B2B2C and B2C) whilst helping build and scope practical AI capability across the organisation.

What you’ll do

- Lead and evolve our Sales Academy and sales capability strategy to capability across B2B, B2B2C and B2C sales environments

- Lead initiatives that strengthen AI capability and adoption

- Partner with & influence senior leaders to identify capability needs and translate them into practical solutions

- Drive engagement with enterprise learning platforms

- Design scalable digital, blended and practical learning experiences

- Partner with external providers to bring the right expertise and solutions into the business

- Manage multiple high-profile capability initiatives from strategy through to delivery





- Define success measures and demonstrate the business impact of capability initiatives

What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone with a passion and depth of experience in delivering winning group wide sales capability programs and making a tangible difference to the business performance.

You’ll be adept at influencing behavioural change, driving great business outcomes within L&D; and enhancing the client and employee experience.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Experience designing, implementing or evolving a Sales Academy or significant sales capability programs

- Strong knowledge of sales capability and methodologies across B2B and B2C environments

- Experience developing capability frameworks and translating business needs into targeted solutions

- Experience leading complex learning and capability initiatives

- Confidence partnering with and influencing senior leaders

- Strong programme and project management capability

- Experience working with external learning or capability providers

- The ability to measure learning effectiveness, adoption and business impact

- A commercial mindset and strong focus on outcomes

Bring your curiosity for AI AI is an important part of where we’re heading.

You don’t need to be an AI specialist, but you should be genuinely interested in emerging technology and able to turn it into practical capability initiatives that help people work differently and more effectively.

Experience supporting AI capability programmes, experimenting with AI tools or building practical AI applications or agents would be highly regarded.
