MECHANICAL BIM DRAFTER

Rocklea, Brisbane | Full Time

Use Revit and AutoCAD to produce coordinated models and detailed shop drawings for data-centre, power-generation and industrial projects.

Eneraque is looking for an experienced Mechanical BIM Drafter who understands how mechanical equipment and piping systems are manufactured, assembled and installed.

You will turn engineering information into practical models and drawings, working closely with the people who design, build and install our systems.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work across fuel systems, pipework, generator installations, exhaust systems and associated mechanical services.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing and maintaining coordinated Revit models.

- Producing detailed shop drawings, general arrangements, sections, assembly details and installation drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

- Preparing piping isometrics, spool drawings, equipment connections, support details and material schedules as required.

- Preparing and updating P&IDs; and technical schematics under engineering direction.

- Coordinating with other disciplines and resolving clashes, access issues and installation constraints.

- Checking dimensions, materials and supplier information before drawings are released.

- Working directly with workshop and installation teams to ensure drawings are clear and practical to build from.

- Managing drawing revisions and completing as-built documentation.

Your drawings will support procurement, manufacturing and installation. Accuracy, buildability and meeting agreed release dates are central to the role.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring

- At least five years’ relevant drafting and BIM modelling experience.

- Solid, recent hands-on experience with both Revit and AutoCAD.

- Mechanical, piping or building-services modelling and detailing experience.

- A proven record of producing shop, fabrication or installation drawings used on completed projects.





- The ability to interpret engineering information, P&IDs;, specifications and supplier drawings.

- Experience coordinating services and identifying and resolving clashes.

- Practical understanding of fabrication, assembly, installation access and maintenance clearances.

- Clear communication, attention to detail and ownership of your work.

Experience with data centres, power generation, fuel systems, industrial plant or mechanical-services contracting will be highly regarded. Navisworks Manage experience and a relevant technical qualification are also desirable.

Applicants whose experience is primarily architectural modelling must also demonstrate relevant mechanical or services detailing and shop-drawing capability.
