As a Non-Executive Director, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance and long-term sustainability of The Haven.

We are seeking someone who brings substantial governance experience,

You will work collaboratively with fellow Directors to support effective governance, financial stewardship, risk management and organisational performance.

The successful candidate will also have an interest in potentially taking on the Treasurer role in the future, supporting continuity and succession planning within the Board.

This is a governance and oversight position, rather than a hands-on financial administration or bookkeeping role.

This is a voluntary, unpaid Non-Executive Director position.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

- Strong knowledge and practical experience in corporate governance, including directors' duties, accountability, risk management and organisational oversight.
- Substantial professional experience in finance, accounting, financial management or a related discipline.

- The ability to think strategically, exercise independent judgement and contribute constructively to Board discussions and decisions.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with fellow Directors and organisational leadership.

Previous experience serving on a Board, particularly within the not-for-profit or community services sectors, would be highly regarded.

Professional qualifications in accounting, finance or governance (such as CPA, CA or GAICD) would also be highly regarded.

Experience in aged care, dementia services or the broader health and community services sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
