Jaydo is a Victorian civil construction contractor delivering water, sewerage, drainage and related infrastructure works across Victoria.

Our Urban Development team delivers civil infrastructure across subdivisions, council projects and associated development works. We are looking for a Site Engineer who wants to be close to the action and play a key role in getting projects delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who enjoys being on site, working alongside Supervisors and crews, solving problems and seeing the results of their work on the ground.

About the role

As a Site Engineer within our Urban Development team, you will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and site crews to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of civil works.

You will be involved across planning, engineering, procurement, quality, cost control and site coordination, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership of project outcomes as you develop.

What you'll be doing

- Coordinating day‑to‑day engineering and site requirements
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Working closely with Supervisors and construction crews to keep works moving
- Planning upcoming works, materials, subcontractors and resources
- Managing RFIs and resolving technical and constructability issues
- Completing ITPs, quality records and project documentation
- Monitoring quantities, costs, progress and productivityAssisting with procurement and subcontractor management
- Supporting safety and environmental requirements
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders
- Identifying issues early and working with the team to find practical solutions

About you

You'll ideally have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in civil construction, ideally across drainage, sewer, water,



subdivisions or council infrastructure
- A practical understanding of how civil projects are built
- Confidence working between the site and project team
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- A willingness to take ownership and follow things through
- A practical, solutions-focused approach

You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with a solid engineering foundation, the right attitude and a genuine interest in becoming a strong civil construction professional.
