Assistant Retail Project Manager - QSR Industry

The Opportunity:

The Assistant Retail Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the construction of select new Soul Origin store builds, existing store refurbishments and for end-to-end project management for each of these. It is the responsibility of the Junior Retail Project Manager to ensure that each store build, or refurbishment is compliant with Soul Origin operational requirements, landlord expectations and branding guideline.

- Ensuring that the relevant certifications and build approvals have been obtained for each project
- Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key consultants and suppliers such as shop fitters, equipment suppliers, landlords etc.
- Ensuring that the cost of store fit outs is managed in the most cost-effective way for the business and for franchise partners
- Controlling and directing building and site development within the programmed construction schedule
- Ensuring that the equipment procured for new store builds or refurbishments is cost effective without compromising store operations,



product quality or team safety
- Working closely and collaborating with designated store design consultants to ensure that store designs are functional
- Managing consultants and contractors for design documentation, submission of plans, development and building approval, tenders and signage
- Working collaboratively with teams to identify opportunities for new store formats and innovative ways to improve store builds to benefit in-store operations

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- 2+ years demonstrated experience in store development and project management, including food retail projects
- Advanced knowledge of building practice, estimating, tendering, and administration of contracts
- Strong budgeting and fiscal management skills
- Demonstrated strong ability to interpret store design and construction packs
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety within a retail or hospitality environment
- Willingness to travel interstate to visit sites and support franchise partners
