We are a small vehicle service centre that is an approved Dept of Transport Vehicle Inspection Station (VIS).

About the role

Person to become an approved and authorised vehicle examiner. Carrying out vehicle inspections on all vehicles up to 4500KG, including cars, motorbikes (if you have a motorbike licence) and all kinds of trailers.

There is an opportunity to carry out minor mechanical repairs and general servicing in quieter periods. Training is provided.

Benefits and perks

Attractive package, 0800 - 1600hrs Monday to Friday. Overtime is an option if sought after, but not essential. Saturday mornings are optional if you are looking for overtime, but not essential.

Skills and experience

- A fully qualified & experienced motor mechanic
- Must have an Australian motor mechanical trade qualification

*Have minimum of 2 years post trade experience in the repair and maintenance of vehicles to the following minimum standard:

Certificate lll in Automotive (Mechanical - Heavy Vehicle) or Certificate lll in Automotive (Mechanical - Light Vehicle), as recognised within the Australian qualification framework, issued after 1 July 2016

- Must be hard working
- Age no barrier
- Honest & reliable
- Must have clean criminal record, a Police clearance (less than 3 months old) is required (can request)
- 1 x reference for the DoT application.
- Valuable computer skills and ability to understand vehicle regulations
- Have the ability to work unsupervised, be a good customer communicator
- Current vehicle licence, and motorbike licence is desirable
